Your rack should match the way you train – and the way your gym grows. With the Riot MRR 3D Configurator you design your entire rack setup exactly how you need it: for powerlifting, weightlifting, Strong(wo)man, functional fitness, or a full commercial facility.
At the core of every build are 75 × 75 mm uprights with 3 mm wall thickness, Westside-style hole spacing for precise J-hook and safety positioning, and a fully modular system that can expand from a single training station into a complete rack and storage solution.
Starting at €899, you enter the Riot MRR ecosystem – and you’ll receive an extra 10% discount on your configured setup with the code Rack10.

Riot MRR Features in Depth
Westside Spacing: Tiny Adjustments, Big Difference
In the key lifting zone, Riot MRR uprights use 25 mm Westside hole spacing with 17 mm pin holes, allowing you to fine-tune J-hook and safety height. Especially for bench press, where 1–2 cm can change the quality of your liftoff, this makes a noticeable difference and accommodates lifters of different sizes.
Built for Demanding Gyms
With 75 × 75 mm steel profiles and 3 mm wall thickness, Riot MRR is built for repeated heavy loading and daily use in commercial facilities, clubs, or strength-focused studios. It’s equally at home in a serious home setup that wants “commercial feel” equipment.

- Four colourways allow you to align your rig with your logo, wall colours, or overall brand identity

FAQs
Product
What's the main difference between the Riot MRR range and the Original MRR range?
What's the main difference between the Riot MRR range and the Original MRR range?
Same, same but different: The key differences between the Riot MRR and Original MRR racks lie in their sturdiness and versatility. The Riot MRR is constructed with a robust 75mm box section, while the Original MRR uses a slightly smaller 60mm box section. Additionally, the Riot MRR features Westside hole spacing, providing more precise bar and safeties placement compared to the standard spacing on the Original MRR. This makes the Riot MRR ideal for advanced setups and professional use.
Both racks are compatible with a wide range of accessories—many of which are interchangeable—but the Riot MRR is designed to support even more future options. In short, if you're seeking a budget-friendly solution for your home gym with plenty of potential for future add-ons, the Original MRR is a solid choice. However, if you're prioritizing long-term flexibility and professional-level performance, the Riot MRR comes out on top.
What materials are the modular racks made from?
What materials are the modular racks made from?
All components of the Riot and Original MRR range are made from high-quality, black powder-coated steel, unless stated otherwise. Our Riot MRR Rack and Rig uprights and crossbeams are built tough with a 3mm wall thickness, while the Original MRR Racks come with a 2mm thickness. Choose the right level of strength for your setup! If a specific component has a different material or thickness, this information will be clearly indicated in the product details or specification sheet.
Are the Riot MRR and Original MRR range interchangeable?
Are the Riot MRR and Original MRR range interchangeable?
No, the Riot MRR and Original MRR ranges aren`t interchangeable.
While both racks can share a range of accessories (check them out here: https://strengthshop.eu/collections/riot-mrr-i-components), there are some attachments designed with different specifications that can affect compatibility.
The Riot MRR features a robust 75mm box section, whereas the Original MRR has a sleeker 60mm box section. This size difference influences the fit of certain attachments and accessories. Within each range, you can mix and match components freely, but keep in mind that they’re not always compatible across Riot and Original ranges.
💡Note: We will be constantly developing the range of attachments available to both Riot and Original racks. Though the Riot MRR range will have a wider selection of attachments available over time.
What are the weight capacity limits for each rack?
What are the weight capacity limits for each rack?
Riot Racks with a static load of 500kg and the Original Racks with 350kg - BUT here's why we don’t specify a maximum load for our racks: stability relies more on how it’s set up and used than on a single weight limit. Key factors include whether it’s bolted down, where hooks and accessories are placed, and how much force an athlete applies—all of which impact stability in ways a max load number just can’t capture.
For lifts over 200kg, we recommend bolting down the rack and using either our box safeties or webbing catchers instead of pin-and-pipe safeties. This setup gives you the extra support needed for heavy lifts, keeping workouts safe and seamless.
Are these racks suitable for home gyms or commercial use?
Are these racks suitable for home gyms or commercial use?
Yes, both MRR ranges, Riot and Original, are suitable for home gyms and commercial use, but there’s a key difference between them. The Riot range would be the perfect fit for commercial settings or advanced home gyms because it offers more increment adjustment options and will be combinable with a more versatile range of attachments, making it ideal for a wider variety of users and workouts. Furthermore, it is cross-compatible with our new Riot Rig range, allowing you to integrate both in your training space harmoniously.
In terms of sturdiness, both the Riot and Original ranges are built solid with 3mm thick high-quality steel, so you can count on them for durability, whether at home or in a commercial gym. But since the Riot Rack is heavier, due to its bigger Box sections, its stability is enhanced compared to the Original Range.
What are the dimensions of the modular racks?
What are the dimensions of the modular racks?
You can find all individual dimensions on the product detail page, under the section: Specifications.
Are the racks adjustable? If so, how can they be adjusted?
Are the racks adjustable? If so, how can they be adjusted?
Yes, the racks are highly adjustable, which is a key feature of both the Riot and Original MRR ranges.
You can customize your setup by adding various accessories and attachments to suit your needs, including storage options or extensions that can be added later on.
Our range of accessories is continuously expanding to ensure that everything you need to build your ideal gym setup will be available in the MRR range. We promise!
In addition, the Riot range is cross-compatible with our new Riot Rig range — an important fact for gyms looking to create a connected setup.

Are these racks compatible with attachments from previous Strength Shop cages?
Are these racks compatible with attachments from previous Strength Shop cages?
No, the old cages had 25mm holes, but the new modular racks (MRR), including both the Riot and Original systems, now use 17mm holes for attachments and bolts.
Our why: More Flexibility. With smaller holes, you get more adjustment options, letting you fine-tune things like rack and safety height and where you put your accessories. This means you can set everything up tailored for your height, lifting style, or the range of motion you need. Whether you're doing squats, bench presses, or other exercises, those smaller adjustments help you get a setup that works best for you. It's especially useful for athletes with different body types or specific training goals who need their setup dialed in.
What does westside spacing mean? What's the benefit?
What does westside spacing mean? What's the benefit?
Westside spacing refers to the hole spacing on the uprights of our Riot MRR racks. In a Westside-style rack, the holes are spaced closer together—25mm in our case—so you can make more precise adjustments when setting the height of your bar or safety pins. The big advantage is that it helps you dial in the perfect setup, especially for moves like the bench press, where small changes in height can make a big difference in the lift-off. It's also great for lifters of different sizes, ensuring you can position the bar at the ideal height for both lift-off and safety.
How do I choose the rack depth that is best for me?
How do I choose the rack depth that is best for me?
To choose the best rack depth for your needs, consider the following differences between rack options:
- Compact Rack: Offers a compact, balanced design with solid stability, ideal for home gyms. It’s perfect for those who want a versatile, all-around performance rack that handles heavy lifting without taking up too much space.
- Standard Rack: Provides maximum stability with a larger footprint. Best for serious lifters or gym owners needing a durable, spacious setup that can accommodate additional workout stations and attachments.
- Compact Half Rack: Very compact and space-efficient, ideal for small home gyms or garages. It’s highly versatile and sturdy, fitting tight spaces without compromising on strength.
- Half Rack: A slightly deeper option than the Compact Half Rack, offering more versatility while staying space-efficient. It’s a great balance of compactness and stability, ideal for those who want extra workout space without a full-sized rack.
- Open Rack (Riot MRR only): Features an open, dynamic design for unrestricted (overhead-) movement. Best for larger setups where flexibility and ease of access are key.

Safety
Are the modular racks stable for heavy lifting?
Are the modular racks stable for heavy lifting?
Our modular racks are specifically designed to support heavy lifting, with rigorous testing that confirms they can safely handle up to 500kg (Riot MRR) and 350kg (Original MRR) static load. However, we always advise using ✨common sense✨ and taking extra precautions for your own safety. You can enhance stability by bolting the rack to the floor, using spotters, and never dropping a barbell from height, even in case of a failed lift. Instead, always lower the barbell with caution using safety mechanisms. The impact of a dropped barbell can depend on factors such as angle of fall, height, weight, and safeties used. So, while our racks are built for heavy lifting, it’s essential to prioritize safety and avoid dropping the bar.
Can the rack be bolted to the floor for extra stability?
Can the rack be bolted to the floor for extra stability?
Yes, you can bolt the rack to the floor for extra stability. Each upright has pre-drilled holes to make it easy. Just keep in mind that we don’t provide the tools or bolts since those will depend on your flooring type.
Are there any weight limits for specific attachments (e.g., pull-up bars or dip bars)?
Are there any weight limits for specific attachments (e.g., pull-up bars or dip bars)?
Yes, there are specific weight limitations. The pull-up bars and dip bars are tested for up to 200 kg. Exceeded that weight? If so, let us know so we can adjust the maximum load capacity and feature you on our page! 😎
