Pairs well with:

Wall balls, bumper plates and other bulky, awkward-shaped equipment don't belong rolling around your gym floor. The MRR Shelf – Wallball is an open twin-rail storage system that bolts directly onto your MRR uprights, giving those items a dedicated home without the clutter of a solid shelf they don't actually need.

Open rail design, built for round and irregular loads

Unlike the solid MRR Shelf for dumbbells and kettlebells, this is a through-construction rail system: two parallel rails set 240mm apart instead of a closed deck. That gap is exactly what makes it work for wall balls, bumper plates and similar equipment — items nest and rest across the rails rather than needing a fully enclosed surface, and any dust or grip chalk falls straight through instead of collecting on a shelf.

Solid tube construction

Each rail is formed from 38×38×3mm square steel tube, welded to a triangular end bracket at each end for a rigid, twist-free structure across the full length.

Straightforward MRR mounting

Each end bracket uses 17mm holes and fixes with an M16×110mm bolt, matching MRR's standard hole and bolt spec exactly — no adapters, no workarounds. It's fully compatible with both the Original MRR and Riot MRR rig and rack ranges.

Two lengths for two purposes

The 1075mm rail matches a single MRR crossmember/nameplate width, ideal for a single storage bay. The 1675mm rail spans 1.5× that width for a longer run of continuous storage — useful when you're lining up several wall balls or bumper plates side by side.

FAQ

Why is this a rail system instead of a solid shelf like the dumbbell/kettlebell version?
Wall balls, bumper plates and similar round or bulky items don't need, or benefit from, a fully enclosed shelf. The open, twin-rail design lets them rest securely across the gap while letting dust and chalk fall through, and it keeps the unit lighter than a solid deck of the same length.

Will this fit my rig and rack?
It's built to the MRR hole and bolt standard (17mm holes, M16 bolts), so it's compatible with both the Original MRR and Riot MRR rig and rack ranges. If you're on a different rig system, check your upright hole spacing and diameter against these specs first.

What's the difference between the 1075 and 1675 versions?
Length only — everything else is identical. The 1075mm rail matches one MRR crossmember width and suits a single storage bay; the 1675mm rail spans 1.5 crossmember widths for a longer, uninterrupted run, handy for lining up multiple wall balls or plates.

Can I use this for dumbbells or kettlebells too?
It's designed and dimensioned for wall balls, bumper plates and similar bulky items. For dumbbells and kettlebells, our solid MRR Shelf – Dumbbell/Kettlebell (with its closed deck and raised lip) is the better fit.

What hardware is included, and what do I need to install it?
Each end bracket fixes with an M16×110mm bolt through the 17mm mounting holes. You'll just need a spanner/Allen key sized to the bolt head to fit it to your rig.

How much weight can it hold?
The 1075mm rail is rated to 350kg and the 1675mm rail to 400kg. If you need a confirmed figure for a specific setup, get in touch and we'll be happy to help.
