This is the complete wall-mounted training station built from the Riot MRR system — two uprights, two pairs of folding crossmembers, and a folding pull-up bar. Together, they give you a full-size rack that disappears flat against the wall the moment you're done.

When it's time to train, swing the crossmembers out, lock them with the mag pin, and you have a rigid, fully functional rack with Westside-spaced j-hook positions and room for a barbell. When you're finished, fold everything back flush. No permanent footprint, no wasted floor.

What's in the Bundle

  • Riot MRR Uprights (pair) — available in 2300 mm, 2100 mm, or 1800 mm (Garage) height
  • Two Riot MRR Folding Crossmembers (pair) — fold flat when not in use
  • Riot MRR Folding Pull-Up Bar — pins on in seconds, folds with the rest

Built from the MRR System

The uprights are the same 75 × 75 × 3 mm square-section steel used across the entire Riot Modular Rack Range — built for commercial punishment, right at home in a private gym. Westside spacing, 25 mm centre-to-centre, runs through the critical bench and rack zone, giving you precise, incremental barbell positioning where it counts.

The folding crossmembers share the same 75 × 75 × 3 mm box section with 6 mm end plates. Rigid under load, minimal when folded. The pull-up bar pins on cleanly — a single staggered pin each side for stability — and the whole station collapses flat against the wall when not in use.

Wall Mounting — What You Need to Know

Wall mounting hardware is not included. How you mount this rack depends on your wall structure — stud framing, concrete, masonry, or timber — and this varies too much to bundle a one-size solution.

Do I Need a Stringer?

For most installations, we strongly recommend a stringer, sold separately. A stringer is a horizontal steel plate that spans between wall studs and provides your mounting brackets with a solid, continuous anchor surface — especially important when your studs don’t line up with the rack’s hinge bracket positions.

The rack as shown in the product imagery is installed with stringers top and bottom. This is the setup we recommend for optimal load distribution and long-term stability.

Important: Before installation, have a contractor or structural professional confirm that your wall can safely handle the loads involved — particularly if you plan to use spotter arms or train heavy.

FAQs

Is a fold-back rack as stable as a regular rack?

Yes — when properly installed. The Riot MRR Folding Rack is built from the same 75 × 75 × 3 mm steel as our standard MRR range and locks rigidly in place via the mag pin system. That said, stability also depends on your wall structure and assembly quality.

Follow the installation instructions carefully, have a professional confirm your wall fixings can handle the load, and treat it with the same respect you'd give any heavy piece of training equipment. We don't recommend kipping pull-ups ;-)

Can I use my existing MRR accessories with this setup?

Yes — all accessories designed for the 75 mm MRR system are compatible, including j-hooks, spotter arms, and other add-ons from the Riot MRR range. Same 17 mm pinholes, same Westside spacing, same system.

How much wall space do I actually need?

The rack is 1285 mm wide, so that's your minimum wall width. Depth depends on your configuration: 483.5 mm without a stringer, 516.5 mm with one, and up to 1123 mm with safeties extended. You'll also want clear ceiling height above the upright of your choice, and solid wall fixings across the full width — which is why we recommend a stringer for most installations.
